We are facing another active wildfire season this year, with a heat wave and drought hitting the West Coast, with multiple fires already prompting evacuations. As we see wildfires burning more intensely, it’s important to remember that preparation is key. In the current climate, preventive home maintenance can mean the difference between mitigating minor problems or dealing with more costly problems later. According to Hippo’s Homeowners Preparedness Report, nearly one in three homeowners reported damage from severe weather and climate-related issues in the past year and updated their homes to protect against these issues.
